Linton Mills
Back when I took this the site was a stationary steam enthusiasts "holy grail". The mill had been a manufacturer of cotton goods and had also supplied the locality with electricity. It closed in 1959 and gradually fell into ruin and it was only on the death of the owner that we were able to get in. A party of three arranged a visit for Easter Sunday and we saw the derelict Newton, Bean & Mitchell uniflow engine (now at Bradford Industrial Museum). A good time was had by all.
The mill is now no more
