Grade I listed

The church dates back to the 13th C. and is built in a mix of styles from the 13th to the 15th centuries. It was restored in 1869.
It was originally a Chapel-of-Ease to Old Sodbury.
The original construction was probably cruciform, and chapels were built soon afterwards which were taken over by the local Guilds of cloth workers, one large chapel made and dedicated to Saint Katherine.
The north aisle was added in the 14th century and in the 15th century Henry VI granted a licence for the foundation of the Guilds. The Lady Chapel was built, along with the south aisle and west tower.

There is no old stained-glass, it all dates from the restoration in 1869.
The pulpit is unusual and was discovered blocked up when the church was restored.
The font is from the 13th century consisting of octagonal bowl. Most of the internal fittings are 19th century.
The organ was originally built by Vowles, and was completely overhauled in 2006.
