Properly boggy ground
Part of the marshland surrounding the National Nature Reserve of Aqualate Mere. This bog is just outside the Reserve fence, but only by a few yards. The NNR is operated by Natural England, and is centred on the mere, a large post-glacial lake which supports a wide range of bird, insect, fish and plant species.
