The tin roof and weatherboarding have been removed. The white brick-built extension is the toilet block and not part of the original army hut.
New Mill Community Centre, Tring - Former WW1 Army Hut

This hut was originally part of the Army Camp erected at Gadebridge, Hemel Hempstead, in 1915. At the end of the war it became a hospital for soldiers with VD but in 1922 the huts were sold off and this one was re-erected in Tring to serve as St George's Church and be a social centre. It ceased being used as a church circa 1950 and as a social centre in 2012. It was demolished in September 2014 prior to being re-erected in a reconstructed WW1 Army Camp. Six houses are to be erected on the site.
