M62 Pennine Way footbridge
M62 Pennine Way footbridge
The M62 motorway completed in the 1970s links Lancashire with Yorkshire, at this point Britainís best known long distance footpath the Pennine Way crosses the motorway. As walkers cross the ancient moor their sense of serenity is brutally shattered by the noise and sight of the motorway but it is a place most will remember.
