View towards Warren Dale
In the western parts of the Yorkshire Wolds there are numerous dry valleys. They are usually narrow with steep sides and often hidden in the wider landscape. Warren Dale is about 50 metres deep and only 200 hundred or so metres from the camera but its presence would not be noticed by the casual traveler.
