NY2262 : An unusual old house

taken 10 years ago, near to Bowness-on-Solway, Cumbria, England

An unusual old house
An unusual old house
Situated amongst a range of buildings at Bowness House Farm (for wider view see NY2262 : Bowness House, Bowness on Solway ).
According to English Heritage LinkExternal link it is probably 17th century with an early 18th century facade, made with sandstone from Hadrian's Wall. Since a 'newer' farmhouse was built alongside, it seems this original house has been relegated to an outbuilding.
Could be a good film location for a historical drama.
