SP0202 : Dollar Street
taken 6 years ago, near to Cirencester, Gloucestershire, Great Britain

Dollar Street
This view towards the church of St John the Baptist is somewhat different to that of old. A small plaque notes that this is the site of the old gatehouse that once protected the twelfth century abbey (now gone). Also here was the Dole Hall, a place where travellers could obtain free food and drink, and the street is named after it - Dollar Street.
