taken 10 years ago, near to Liscombe, Somerset, England

Tarr Steps Ford
Tarr Steps Ford
This ford on the River Barle is found adjacent to Tarr Steps, an Ancient Monument in the form of a clapper bridge. The bridge is comprised of 17 large slabs spanning some 180 feet. In December 2012 and again in 2013 the bridge has been washed away by heavy flooding and has been reconstructed by Somerset County Council who maintain the road. LinkExternal link
On the day of our visit the local hunt were also passing through.
