Music by the cup

The church organ of St John the Baptist, built in 1895 by Father Willis and subsequently renovated, next to the famous Anne Boleyn cup. The latter resides in the small recess and is a gift from Anne to her daughter, Elizabeth I, who then presented it to royal physician, Richard Master; he then presented it to the church. The cup is a beautiful gilt silver work made in 1535, a year before Anne was brought to the block.
