taken 17 years ago, 3 km from Stone in Oxney, Kent, England

County knob
County knob
This stone stands on the west bank of the Royal Military Canal on the county boundary. On the head, on the side visible here is the word 'Sussex' and on the other side 'Kent'. On the shaft on both sides is the date '1806'. The lettering was originally filled with red paint, a few traces of which remain.
