TF0627 : The Devil's Door

taken 5 years ago, near to Kirkby Underwood, Lincolnshire, Great Britain

The Devil's Door
The Devil's Door
Northern door at St Mary's and All Saints, Kirmby Underwood. There was an old practice of opening the Northern Door during baptism of infants so that Original Sin could exit the church.

This door is less than five foot tall in the centre of the arch. It would appear that the Devil is low in stature.
