Water-pipe and cover, Midford Brook, Tucking Mill
The pipe is just about visible in the foreground as a cast iron pipe about 100 mm in diameter. The cover is made from painted sheet steel. The pipe has been here for at least 55 years as it is visible in a scene towards the end of the Ealing comedy 'The Titfield Thunderbolt'. The cover has been replaced in that time but is still clearly identifiable.
