Another look down The Hill. This view appears several times in the fictional village of Titfield in the acclaimed film 'The Titfield Thunderbolt', a searing indictment of post-war British transport politics as well as an inspiring story of the struggle of a community dispossessed of its transport link against the powers of authority and evil-doers. I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't yet seen this icon of British cinematography.
