The Abbey Church of Saints Peter and Paul: Altar
The Abbey Church of Saints Peter and Paul: Altar
A chapel altar in the South Aisle of the Abbey Church

With the banner of the Mothers Union. Altars like this were traditionally dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and provided a focus for some of the more traditional practices (such as votive candles) which the more Low Church mainstream felt unhappy with.
