Development, Victoria Street (2)
Development, Victoria Street (2)
Westminster Council and Land Securities' major plan to re-invent Victoria as a place to live, eat, drink and shop instead of a place to pass through. Pretty much everything previously in the space bounded by Victoria Street, Bressenden Place and Buckingham Palace Road has been flattened - only the facade of the Duke of York pub (far right) and the Victoria Palace Theatre have been retained.
See also TQ2879 : Development, Victoria Street (1) and TQ2979 : Development, Bressenden Place (2).
Work in front is connected to a separate project - the construction of a new Victoria tube station (TQ2879 : Victoria Station, Wilton Road).
