The tiled roof is all that now remains on the site of a village pump on Main Street that served those who lived in the listed cottages opposite. Nowadays it provides cover for the Parish Notice Board, although the few square metres of ground beneath this shelter are very muddy - either due to the underground water source or to recent flooding of the River Soar during the winter 2013/14.
