Bridge at Chew Green and firing range checkpoint
Bridge at Chew Green and firing range checkpoint
Taken in 1977 when walking the Pennine Way. We arrived at this point only to discover that, owing to army firing in progress, our support vehicle had been unable to gain access to Chew Green and we had to return to Byrness to collect all our luggage and then return to where we were to camp.
