This facade, at the junction of the R706 (R = Regional) road from Fethard to Kilsheelan and the road to Loughcapple and Killusty, is all that remains now of the former Kiltinan police barracks/police station. Standing beside an entrance driveway to Kiltinan Castle, the barracks were built sometime between 1830 – 1850 and were demolished at some time in the fairly recent past. This photo was taken while staying with/visiting relatives at Kiltinan and Killusty and in County Dublin at Saggart and Newcastle. Time photo taken not available.
