Canal bridges at Hightown in Congleton, Cheshire
There are five bridges within a short distance in this gloomy cutting on the Macclesfield Canal. Shown here are the railway bridge, Bridge No 75 (the original Park Lane Bridge) and a hundred metres ahead is Bridge No 74 carrying Morley Drive but probably originally just a farm accommodation bridge. Out of sight above bridge 75 is the much newer "flyover" A539 Park Lane/Biddulph Road Bridge.
