The railway's back at Stow (1)
Over 40 years ago the track was lifted following the closure of the Waverley Line. Now the Borders Railway is arriving after much civil engineering work to prepare the trackbed, bridges and tunnels on the route from Edinburgh to Tweedbank.

Here the train of flatbed wagons carrying the line lengths in 108m sections has reached Stow Station. Compare progress with NT4544 : Stow Station is taking shape showing the same scene in early October. The line is due to open in September 2015.

More details of the track-laying process can be seen at LinkExternal link .
