Mock Tudor pub on the road from Stoney Cross to Brook, named after the killer (accidental or deliberate) of King William Rufus, commemorated at SU2712 : Stoney Cross, Rufus Stone. Internally, back bar, with four eating and drinking areas left, front and right; wooden panelling and beams, with suspended rural implements and bygones; open wood fire and background music. Outside are garden and playground. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Flack's Double,Fullers London Pride, Sharp's Doom Bar.
