Grand Union Canal south of Weedon Bec, from the railway
The white building on the right of the photograph is the Narrow Boat pub at Weedon, where the A5 (Watling Street) crosses the canal. At this point in Northamptonshire the canal, railway, road and M1 motorway converge on a gap in the higher ground and twist around each other regularly swapping positions.
