SD1399 : Hazel Bush at Forest How

taken 9 years ago, near to Eskdale Green, Cumbria, England

Hazel Bush at Forest How
Hazel Bush at Forest How
Located close to a power line, the hazel, which should be coppiced at ground level, has been crudely cut somewhere between coppice and pollard, to provide access to the power line.

It has re-grown and probably provided nuts to some of the red squirrel population.
