Prescot Museum
Prescot Museum
Prescot Museum was previously located in this Georgian Town House, once the site of the local cockerel fighting pit. During the 19th century it was used as Parr's Bank and eventually as the National Westminster Bank. In 1982 it opened as Prescot Museum but has now moved to a new location at Prescot Shopping Centre, Aspinall Street, Prescot L34 5GA. Opening Times are Monday to Friday: 9am-5pm, Saturday: 9am-3.30pm. Admission is free.

Prescot has always been famous for its clock and watch making industry and became known as a 'town of little workshops', due to the different parts of the watches being made in workshops attached to houses throughout the town. Prescot Museum reflects this legacy through its permanent local history displays. It also explores other local industries, such as pottery manufacture, cable making and mining. Situated on corner of High St and Church St.
