Male ferns by the Granite Way
Granite Way
The Granite Way is a 9-mile cycle route, most of it along the former railway line between Okehampton and Lydford, and opened in May 2002. It forms part of NCN27, and makes use of impressive viaducts at Meldon and Lake. The route runs along the northwest edge of the Dartmoor National Park, and the two viaducts offer views of the moor.
Until 2013, the railway route was broken near Southerly, using lanes to cross the A386. This gap was filled in late 2013.
