Sussex Coast Express at Eastbourne Railway Station
Sussex Coast Express at Eastbourne Railway Station
A single track branch line from Polegate on the Brighton to Hastings line was opened by the London Brighton and South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) in 1849. As the town grew into a popular seaside resort, the present station was opened in 1886.
Trains have to reverse at the station to continue their journey along the East Coastway line in both directions.
All trains on the East Coastway stop at the station.
