Opened in 1839 and on 31 July 1854 the Y&NMR merged with the Leeds Northern Railway and the York, Newcastle & Berwick Railway to form the North Eastern Railway (NER). Wikipedia: LinkExternal link

Hull Paragon station was opened as Hull Paragon Street on 8 May 1848 by the York and North Midland Railway. It superseded the station in Manor House Street (Hull & Selby Railway), which continued to operate for goods traffic only.
