taken 10 years ago, near to Gateshead, England

The Vampire Rabbit
The Vampire Rabbit
The location of the rabbit can be seen in NZ2564 : The rear of Cathedral Buildings, Dean Street, NE1 and NZ2564 : The rear entrance to Cathedral Buildings, Dean Street, NE1.

In 1988, the rabbit was painted white LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) ; and its ears weren't quite so long!

Research by Andrew Curtis suggests that the rabbit (or hare) may be a Freemason's in-joke - see his photo NZ2564 : 'Vampire Rabbit', St Nicholas Church Yard.
