Pembroke Lodge on a December afternoon
Seen from the south. The Lodge stands at the top of the scarp which is a dominant feature of the west side of Richmond Park. At the time of the photo a wedding reception was going on inside - with a white 1950's Rolls-Royce waiting on the forecourt.
The 'sound-track' to go with this shot would have to include the shrieking of ring-neckled parakeets, gathering in various parts of Richmond Park before flying off to roost. Four parakeets can be seen in this picture, perched in the tree on the right.
