But for a farmhouse, barns and trees, the church of St Edith stands alone and well off the beaten track. The church contains the only surviving Rood Loft in Lincolnshire. It is of Norman origin, having brass plates and other memorials of the BUTLER family and a bust of Brian COOKE of Doncaster, who died in 1653 at age 80.

The Church was restored in 1883 and seats about 80.
