Tram shelter, Seaburn near Sunderland
Tram shelter, Seaburn near Sunderland
This shelter is on the route of a tram system which ran from Sunderland to the seafront at Seaburn. The trams stopped running in the 1950s. There is still a frequent bus service linking Seaburn with Sunderland.

In the background is a lighthouse. This was built on Sunderland's south pier but moved to its current location when the pier was altered. It is not in use.
