Dr Williams' Bridge, Dolgellau
Dr Williams' Bridge, Dolgellau
This bridge carries the Mawddach Trail across the Afon Wnion. The first footbridge on this site was installed at the spot before 1900, and improved in 1969. The original bridge was narrow with sharp ramps and turns. The bridge seen here is a replacement installed in 2012, funded by the Welsh Government. The new bridge is wider and longer than its predecessor. The name relates to the nearby Dr Williams' School for Girls.
