SK2625 : Sun breaking through the fog

taken 5 years ago, near to Stretton, Staffordshire, Great Britain

Sun breaking through the fog
Sun breaking through the fog
A wet first half of the day on Saturday was followed by brilliant sunshine at the end of the afternoon. A contrast with Sunday morning, with fog and frost. The site abounds with spiders - the filter beds of the adjacent sewage works are a breeding ground for swarms of gnats and midges, so inevitably the spiders do well. The hundreds of webs were beautifully picked out with rime.
