St. Mark's Church, Peterborough
St. Mark's Church on Lincoln Road, which is seen here from the junction with Church Walk, was consecrated in September 1856. It was built in response to the rapid growth in Peterborough's population following the arrival of the railways and was designed in the Gothic Revival style. Unusually, the spire is located at the eastern end of the church.
