Corner of Red Lion, Newbrough
The large broken boulder on the front right corner of the Red Lion NY8767 : The Red Lion, Newbrough (2) was the focus for my photo on a wet winter afternoon. There is a story that this is the current resting place of one of the four stones said to have given the neighbouring community of Fourstones its name.

A discussion of Fourstones and the history and mythology attached to the stones that gave it its name is given here: LinkExternal link
