Ty'r mynydd, Mountain Street, Rachub
Ty'r mynydd simply means 'mountain house'. This cottage, which has been renovated and enlarged in recent years, bears a plaque celebrating the Welsh artist and writer, Brenda Chamberlain (1912-1971) who lived here with her husband John Petts, the artist-craftsman. Brenda Chamberlain is perhaps best remembered for her paintings of Bardsey Island fishermen. She lived on Bardsey SH1121 for some years.
