Vale Green Energy, Rotherdale Farm
Vale Green Energy, Rotherdale Farm
Near Throckmorton. I was minding my own business looking for Worcestershire churches when this sight mugged my attention. Rotherdale is apparently a beef unit with a 17,600 tonnes per annum anaerobic digestion plant producing biomethane for use in a combined heat and power plant. Vale Green Energy has another 30,000 tonnes per annum plant nearby that was the first to export biomethane to the national gas grid and includes membrane carbon dioxide capture from the biogas with the captured carbon dioxide being used to enrich the growing atmosphere for tomato plants.
