Milestone Bridge will carry the Heysham to M6 link road over the Lancaster Canal.
The first 2 arch spans were lifted into position the previous day. For a short time, this bridge is claimed to have the longest span for a pre-cast concrete arch in the country. Note that each span comprises 2 pre-cast sections.
There is a little ice on the canal.
