The Counter Drain, as the name implies, is a waterway built between Baston and Pode Hole in South Lincolnshire to carry overflow water from the nearby fen to relieve the River Glen, running the entire length of the road at Tongue End, near Bourne, which falls within the drainage area of the Welland and Deepings Internal Drainage Board.
