ST6063 : Protection for a trunk

Protection for a trunk
Protection for a trunk
This heavily-cropped tree now has some chain-link fencing wrapped around it. The tree itself has nothing to do with the stone circles or the linear ditch close by. The livestock that use this field are keen to use it for a good scratch, so perhaps the fencing is to prevent any unnecessary injury? See ST6063 : Living after death for another view.
