NZ6605 : Westerdale Hall and the village

taken 10 years ago, near to Westerdale, North Yorkshire, England

Westerdale Hall and the village
Westerdale Hall and the village
Sunshine and snow after a rather wintry spell early Feb 2015.

The Hall looks old but was built around 1850 as a shooting lodge.
There is some evidence the site was previously occupied by The Knights Templar but surprisingly the exact location of their Westerdale Preceptory is uncertain.
