taken 19 years ago, near to Stainforth, North Yorkshire, England

Settle to Carlisle Railway at Stainforth
Settle to Carlisle Railway at Stainforth
This train is heading north to Carlisle on the Settle to Carlisle Railway line. Viewed from the bridge to Stainforth Sewage works, the edge of the square runs from the clump of trees on the left diagonally away from the camera to the right. The line of trees, just behind the front of the train, indicates the line of Stainforth Beck, which is flowing to the right to join up with the River Ribble nearby.
