Former Methodist Chapel, Guildhall Street, Newark, Notts.
This Grade II-listed building on the west side of Guildhall Street was originally a Methodist Chapel - the second one to be constructed in Newark - was consecrated by John Wesley in 1787. He is said to have visited Newark on six occasions between 1743-88. At some point this building has also seen service as a school and business premises. It appears now to have been converted into apartments. Balderton Gate lies behind the photographer and Barnby Gate ahead.
