Ross-on-Wye Market House no longer a Visitor Centre
Viewed in early February 2015. A Ross Town Council notice inside the Market House states that the building is owned by Herefordshire County Council. Until March 2014 it was in use as a Visitor Centre. Government cuts to the financial support given to local councils then led to its closure. The County Council proposed that a package of assets in the town, including this building, be transferred to Ross Town Council, which now has a licence to occupy the Market House. For the medium term, the Town Council has accepted the Hereford Courtyard Centre's offer to use this building as an arts & crafts centre.
