TQ1974 : Tumbledown willow

taken 10 years ago, near to Richmond, Richmond Upon Thames, England

Tumbledown willow
Tumbledown willow
Along stream-beds in the north-west corner of Richmond Park there are a number of willows which have blown over (perhaps in the storms of October 1987 and January 1990) and continue to grow - with new upright limbs growing from the old, recumbent trunk.

Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve.
