TQ0357 : The downstream end of the island

taken 10 years ago, near to Pyrford Village, Surrey, England

The downstream end of the island
The downstream end of the island
The alder trees on the left are growing at the downstream tip of an island, between the Wey Navigation and the Broadmead Cut. At this point the Navigation and the Cut rejoin the main channel of the River Wey, which has followed its old meandering course through the flood plain.
