Low, winter light is making strong features of the boulders littering the bottom of the valley as the river rushes along, refreshed by snow-melt. Nant Anafon is overlooked in favour of the famous delights of the Aber Falls in the adjacent valley, but the more rugged landscape and lower tree population give a sublime quality to the riverside.
