They come from all over the world and, as long as they can thole the cauld at 130 metres (430 ft) above sea level, are rewarded with some stunning views. This photo taken from the Mons Meg platform shows the area around the top of the Lang Stairs with an almost theatrical backdrop formed by the landscape beyond.
