Example of cliff drainage - High Cliff
Example of cliff drainage - High Cliff
A 'soft engineering' concept taught in geography but difficult to show. Used in cliffs generally made from sandstone and boulder clay the drains put into a cliff to intercept the water movement through the cliff which causes mass movement. The idea being that the drains remove water quickly and stop the cliff from becoming saturated.
